Abstract
Radiation dose analysis using the Allengers brand general radiography has been carried out. The purpose of this study was to prove that the use of the high tube voltage technique can reduce the radiation dose received by the patient. The method used is Entrance surface dose and Incident air kerma using pantom and pole to measure the dose with a Thermoluminescence dosimeter (TLD). From the results of the study, it was found that the use of the high tube tension technique can reduce the dose of incident air kerma (IAK) with a range of 32%-58%, while the value of entrance surface dose (ESD) with a range of 21%-38%, compared to using standard tube tension. Meanwhile, the density produced on the radiographic film is relatively the same between the use of standard tube tension and high tube tension.
