Abstract
Paranasal Sinus Radiography (SPN) is a sinus examination technique using x-rays to obtain radiographs to help establish the diagnosis. Sinusitis is inflammation in the paranasal sinuses (cavities), which results in the appearance of various complaints in the facial area. This sinusitis condition can occur in more than one place. In this paper, the examination projections used are Parietoacanthial Open-mouth Waters Method and Lateral with film processing used Digital Radiography (DR). This research was conducted at the Royal Prima Hospital Medan with the type of qualitative research. Data was collected by means of interviews, documentation and patient X-rays. The results of the study concluded that bilateral maxillary sinusitis and bilateral nasal conchae thickening were shown using the Parietoacanthia Open-mouth Waters Method and Lateral projections and using Digital Radiography film processing so as to provide maximum picture results to diagnose a disease or disorder.
